Art Activities for the Very Young Hand-made postcards, book covers, thread 9 x 12 x 2" 2005 |

The artists' book, Art Activities for the Very Young, is a portfolio of postcards that have been sewn into old book covers. My 2005 critique group sent each member, including ourselves, a postcard-sized work of art through the US postal service. I took the cards I received and sewed each one into an old book cover. While the sewing on the front responded to the piece, the randomness of the stitched backs made many of the reverse sides more interesting. The book consists of seven loose pages that fit into a found children's book cover.
