I make mixed-media pieces that use processes such as sewing, painting, printmaking and assemblage. I incorporate vernacular photographs, found objects, recycled materials and ephemera in my pieces as a means of exploring time, memory, deterioration and mortality.

I currently work out of a city-sponsored studio at Cubberley Center in Palo Alto, California. I teach classes for the City of Palo Alto and for other non-profits such as the Graphic Arts Workshop in San Francisco.
Prior to becoming a full-time artist, I studied art history and worked with museum collections. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach art making.

In the Spring of 2011, I will be the "Mining the Collection" artist at the Badé Biblical Archaeology Collection in Berkeley, California, which will result in a one-person exhibition at the Doug Adams Gallery.
